• Cash vs. Room Card: You do not need wallets or credit cards on the island. Everything from drinks and bike rentals to t-shirts at She Sells Sea Shells taps directly to your Key to the World room card or DisneyBand+. The single exception is the small Bahamian Post Office located near the dock entrance. Because it is operated by the Bahamian government, it takes cash only (US Dollars or Bahamian Dollars) if you want to buy local stamps and mail a postcard with the Castaway Cay postmark.
